Rhinoplasty

Cosmetic surgery of the nose, also called rhinoplasty, can improve the shape, size and general appearance of your nose. The goal is a nose that looks natural and achieves a harmonious balance with your other facial features.

Dr. Anderson has done over 3000 nasal surgery procedures, including several 100 cosmetic Rhinoplasties. He is also a member of The Rhinoplasty Society, a group of board certified Surgeons with special interest and qualifications in Rhinoplasty Surgery.

Our plastic surgeons recommend that patients usually wait until they are at least 14 or 15 before undergoing a rhinoplasty. This is because the nose may not be fully developed at a younger age.

Assuming you are in good health, there is no upper age limit for having your nose reshaped. Rhinoplasty is often performed in conjunction with a face lift or other rejuvenation surgery to correct aging changes of the nose such as a drooping tip.

At Anderson Plastic Surgery, PLLC, we do offer video imaging which will be very helpful in deciding the exact change for your nose. The subject of risks and potential complications will also be fully discussed with you on a personal basis.

The goal of rhinoplasty is a nose that looks natural and blends harmoniously with your other facial features. Since the healing process is gradual you should expect to wait several months to see the final results of your rhinoplasty. You are very likely, however, to begin enjoying your new look within weeks of your surgery.

In most instances the results of rhinoplasty are permanent, except for possible changes associated with the normal aging process.
