Botox® for Wrinkles

Botox® is an excellent treatment for smile lines (crow's feet), frown lines, forehead creases and neck bands. It is safe, pain free, fast and effective. It is also a relatively inexpensive treatment for those concerns.

Dr. Anderson has been providing Botox® treatments since 1992, longer than most in Arizona. He has done thousands of Botox® injections with no serious side effects.

Botox® is a purified protein toxin produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacteria. Although Botox® is injected, there have been no serious side effects. This is because, for the treatment described, Botox® is used in extremely small amounts and does not spread throughout the body.

A few drops of Botox® are injected with a very tiny needle into muscles that create wrinkles. When Botox® is injected into the muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area and as a result the muscle weakens. As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and often disappear.

The effects of Botox® injections usually last three to five months. After several treatments the effects of Botox® may begin to last longer, sometimes up to six months.

Dr. Anderson particularly likes Botox® for frown lines, forehead lines, smile lines, and neck band problems. Dr. Anderson is recognized national and international expert in the use of Botox® and have lectured and taught these procedures around the world.

Our Unique Warranty

At Anderson Plastic Surgery, PLLC we ask all of our Botox® patients to return for a two week follow up if they have residual wrinkles after Botox® treatments to the area. In this way if the effect is not acceptable at two weeks we provide additional "touch up" at NO Charge. We are unique in this "warranty"! Botox® works when done correctly by a trained and qualified professional!
